Humanities Montana currently seeks gifts to support two special initiatives: Tribal Partnerships and Montana Center for the Book Prizes.
The Annual Fund supports humanities programs in Montana on an ongoing basis. It is critical for youth programs and grants to museums, libraries, and schools.
Foundations and Corporate Support
Corporations and foundations support Humanities Montana each year with generous contributions, sustaining public programs throughout Montana.
Endowment income is vital to the health and future of Humanities Montana's programs.
Tribal Partnerships: Humanities Montana will support humanities projects on Indian reservations within Montana’s borders. We’re seeking a minimum of $5,000 annually to help fund projects such as language and cultural preservation. Partnerships will be anchored in tribal nations’ aspirations and needs.
Montana Center for the Book Prizes: Each year Humanities Montana will offer up to five $1,000 prizes to organizations that provide inspiring and inspired literary programs. We will place special emphasis on recognizing literary programs in rural Montana communities.
Now more than ever Humanities Montana depends on annual contributions from individuals to support its mission. The Annual Fund supports our full array of programming on an ongoing basis, and is especially important for youth programs and grants to museums, libraries, and schools. If you have donated in the past, please consider giving at a higher level this year.
The easiest way to contribute to the Annual Fund is to donate online.
Corporations and foundations support Humanities Montana each year with generous contributions, sustaining public programs throughout Montana. Leave a legacy for the humanities in Montana.
Planned giving allows donors to maintain access to income during their lifetimes, provides estate and tax planning tools, and builds permanent wealth for Montana's nonprofit organizations and charities. Of particular interest to many Montanans is the Montana Endowment Tax Credit, which offers a generous Montana tax credit in addition to a Federal tax deduction.
Through a planned gift to our endowment, you can assure Humanities Montana continues to connect children to community, support vital cultural institutions, and encourage community conversations about pressing issues.
Join the members of our Legacy Society (see sidebar), who have already made that commitment to Montana's future through a planned gift.
For much more information about different types of planned gifts, as well as a planned giving calculator to help you figure the beneficial impact of the various gift options, please visit the Montana Community Foundation, where Humanities Montana has established an endowment fund. Our endowment is at $100,000 and growing daily.
