Humanities Montana, an independent nonprofit that receives no General State of Montana funding, depends upon generous donors to help fund programs exploring cultural issues in the Last Best Place. While we receive a base operating grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, your generosity is essential to our reaching all corners and all peoples of Montana.

Leave a Legacy
Endowment gifts are invested to grow, while providing a steady stream of income for Humanities Montana programs. Endowment income is vital to the health and future of Humanities Montana's mission. Because Montana has a generous tax credit for planned gifts to charitable endowments, donors can enjoy a tax advantage more beneficial than a tax deduction. Like other donations to Humanities Montana, planned gifts, such as charitable remainder trusts, may be funded through gifts of cash, securities or real property, and can provide income to the donors during their lifetimes. Bequests to the endowment also qualify for the tax credit.
