![]() Leave a legacy for the humanities in Montana. Planned giving allows donors to maintain access to income during their lifetimes, provides estate and tax planning tools, and builds permanent wealth for Montana's nonprofit organizations and charities. Through a planned gift to our endowment, you can assure Humanities Montana continues to connect kids to community, support vital cultural institutions, and encourage community conversations about pressing issues. Join the members of our Legacy Society (see sidebar), who have already made that commitment to Montana's future through a planned gift. For much more information about different types of planned gifts, as well as a planned giving calculator to help you figure the beneficial impact of the various gift options, please visit The Montana Community Foundation, where Humanities Montana has established an endowment fund. Of particular interest to many Montanans is the Montana Endowment Tax Credit, which offers a generous Montana tax credit in addition to a Federal tax deduction. To assist you in considering a gift, here is sample bequest language: I give to Humanities Montana (EIN: 23-7357909), a Montana nonprofit corporation, the following money or property: [Describe your gift here.] The gift is to be administered in accordance with the purposes and pursuant to the terms of the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws of Humanities Montana. I request that this gift be used for such charitable purpose of Humanities Montana as the Executive Director or Board of Directors may from time to time determine.
