"The State of Montana"

A Free Conversation with Pat Williams and Lorents Grosfield— Wednesday, March 24, 7:30 pm, DoubleTree Inn, Missoula.

Brian Kahn, host of "Home Ground Radio," will moderate a conversation about "The State of Montana" on Wednesday, March 24 at 7:30 pm in Missoula. Pat Williams, former U. S. Congressman, and Lorents Grosfield, former Montana Legislator, will share insights into the state of Montana's economy and culture. How are Montanans faring during the Great Recession? Where do we find ourselves a decade into the new millennium? This event is free and will include a reception after the conversation.

NEH Site Visit Team Evaluates Humanities Montana

Three distinguished visitors will spend March 23-26 in Missoula evaluating the work of Humanities Montana: Kathleen Mitchell, Senior Program Officer at the National Endowment for the Humanities; Marc Johnson, western historian, consultant, and member of the Idaho Humanities Council; and Pam Snow, Executive Director of the Nebraska Cultural Endowment. They will visit with our Board, staff, and many grantees and funders to determine how effectively Humanities Montana is helping the citizens of this state "learn and reflect together." The conversation on "The State of Montana" is one of the highlights of that process.
