The grant award speaks to our confidence in you to manage your project skillfully, and to embrace all applicable responsibilities—i.e.:

• clear communication with the various people involved in your project—particularly when it comes to assignments and expectations;
• timely handling of logistical challenges (coordination of facilities, equipment, travel, etc.);
• promotion of your project to make sure as many Montanans as possible benefit from your good work;
• careful management of grant funds in general accordance with your budget;
• accurate record-keeping and the submission of thorough reports of your work to Humanities Montana (note: opportunity grant recipients are not required to file a final financial report, but they will be required to submit receipts for all HM funds spent, along with a final online report).
