Information is power. But in our digitized information landscape, it is difficult to decipher the simplest questions: Who creates information? How is it controlled? Why am I so overwhelmed by it all? These are the essential questions of digital literacy. This session teaches techniques for becoming a more aware and engaged citizen through daily information consumption behaviors. Takeaways include how to identify and fight fake news as well as the place of the freedom of speech online and how to use your local library as a resource.
