Adapting to sanitation/distancing/cleaning requirements
Figuring out how/investing in new technologies to deliver high-quality programming when we can’t gather in large groups
Struggle for fundraising when in-person events aren’t possible
Paying rent/utilities/debt when revenue future is uncertain
Communicating well with our audience/patrons/supporters
Lack of board strength and/or staff capacity to strategize budget, plan, and move forward
Needing to put capital improvements/other projects on hold because we can’t raise the money or do the work

What kind of aid would be most helpful? We have seen that PPE, State relief grant programs, and other kinds of loans may not help all arts & culture nonprofits. What kind of help would have the highest impact on your organization’s success & survival for the next 12 months?
*
(Please select up to two)
A grant for unrestricted operating support (even if it’s small)
A low-interest loan fund that all MT arts & culture nonprofits can share, paying back as we can so that other organizations can also draw on the funds
A focused, collaborative, state-supported marketing campaign that features personalized messaging (not one-size-fits-all)
High-impact, personalized technical assistance to help your organization with fundraising, marketing, and/or financial planning

Looking at the whole nonprofit arts & culture field in Montana, from the largest organizations and festivals, to the most active community theaters, to the tiniest rural museums, what do you think would help the entire field the most?
*
(Chose only one)
Larger operating grants to few organizations, even if some are left out
Smaller operating grants to everyone, even if they won’t really solve our problems
A revolving low- or no-interest loan fund, open for the next 2-5 years, that allows all arts & culture organizations to borrow, then repay, so funds stay in the Montana nonprofit arts & culture field for ongoing use
What do you want state administrators to know about your situation that either makes your struggle more clear to them, strengthens the case for aid targeted for arts & culture nonprofits, or highlights the impact of your work in your community? You can include thoughts about how arts & culture boost economic vitality, build communities, strengthen social ties, etc.
