Beth Judy shares selected stories of the 15+ women in her book, Bold Women in Montana History. From the Blackfeet warrior, Running Eagle, to the stereotype-smashing librarian, Alma Jacobs, the eleven women portrayed in this engaging book were indeed bold―breaking down barriers of sexism, racism, and political opposition to emerge as heroines of their time.
Within these stories are fearless femmes who dared to dream and resolved to take action. Their stories reveal the feminine side of the Treasure State’s storied past that can lead us in thinking about challenges today.
