Great Montana Read Celebrates Nonfiction
The inaugural 2018 Great Montana Read honored our state’s best-loved works of fiction, with voters choosing Debra Magpie Earling’s “Perma Red.” This year, we’re continuing to celebrate our state’s rich and varied literary history by hosting a nonfiction edition. The panel will delve into the rich history of nonfiction as a form, as well as the past, present, and future voices. All in all, it will be a thorough examination and inspiring dialogue around this critical genre. Featuring published author Robert Stubblefield; Montana writer and author, Judy Blunt; author and radio host, Sarah Aronson; and the director for The Center for the Book, Kim Anderson.
