Hamilton High School and Model United Nations at UMT
Model UN (MUN) has a long history at the University of Montana. For more than 50 years, UM students have organized an annual high school conference each fall and participated in international collegiate competitions each spring. This year students from Hamilton will participate with other Montana high schools in activities that mimic the operations of the United Nations.
“The purpose of Montana Model United Nations is “to stimulate a deeper knowledge of the United Nations; to develop and establish a working understanding of the humanitarian, social, economic, cultural, legal and political problems of the world; and to provide free and open forum for the study and discussion of these problems.” –MMUN Constitution.
This opportunity for Hamilton High School is sponsored by an Opportunity Grant from Humanities Montana.
