Getting Informed Without Getting Distracted

In today’s world, news, ads, and information come at us faster than we can process. Sometimes it can feel easier to ignore information than to engage with it. In this session we’ll discuss best practices for staying informed, including the Dos and Don’ts of getting, liking, and spreading information on social media, where just under half of American’s get their news. We’ll focus on shortcuts for determining whether a post or headline matched content and highlight some reliable sources and fact checking sites.
