The Montana State Literacy Association is conducting the conference on October 20-21, 2022, in Billings, MT.  The conference is designed to promote the improvement of reading and literacy for teachers, administrators, educators and parents.                                                                                                                                                                                      The conference will include authors and professionals conducting workshops so attendees can improve their understanding about reading and literacy.                                                                                                                                     Montana State Association was charted by the International Reading Association in 1970 and have conducted conferences since 1976.  This year the authors and speakers for the conference include but not limited to: Dan Santat, children’s author, Christine Day, an indigenous children’s author, Kate Roberts, literacy consultant and author, and Dr. May Howard, literacy consultant and author.  We will also have educators providing additional workshops pertaining to reading and literacy.     This conference is important for educators, administrators and parents as they will have the opportunity to learn about researched techniques when teaching reading and literacy.
