Montana Montana, Glory of the Seas – premier
The public is invited to a free reception and live preview/premier showing of the documentary Montana, Montana, Glory of the Seas.
The documentary was produced by Great Falls native Craig Wirth whose popular programs have provided unique stories about Montana and the West for many years. This one focuses on the USS MONTANA (SSN 794) nuclear-powered fast attack submarine that just joined the Pacific Fleet, but also the legacy it inherits from the first USS MONTANA, Armored Cruiser Number 13, that was commissioned in 1908. It also connects these warships to the Montanans who have supported them despite the Treasure State’s landlocked status. It is a heartwarming story of Montanans’ support of our military.
Following the one-hour program there will be a discussion and question-and-answer session about the documentary and its production, as well as the status of SSN 794. Montana, Montana with Producer Craig Wirth joining the discussion.
A powerful, informative and fun new television documentary about the first and new USS MONTANA warships – and Big Sky Country’s unique relationship with the US Navy for more than one hundred years – will air statewide on February 22 on the Scripps MTN CBS stations.
Montana, Montana, Glory of the Seas, will be televised at 6PM on the CBS stations serving Billings, Bozeman, Butte, Great Falls, Helena, Kalispell, Missoula and their surrounding areas.
