Join us for the second feature of The Informed Citizen Series hosted by The Great Falls Public Library featuring, Courtney Cowgill. Grab a cocktail and learn what carrots and journalism have in common. Courtney will share what she’s learned after 20 years in the media and 10 years of farming—when it comes to feeding themselves with either food or information, people will support something they can trust. In an era of fake news and fake food, trust is waning. Local news and local food offer some important lessons on what to do about it.

With grants from Humanities Montana and in cooperation with Enbar, the Great Falls Public Library is hosting The Informed Citizen Series. Each event will bring an expert in local news to share insight and experience to help develop a more informed citizenry.
