On July 11th at the Pictograph Cave State Park in Billings, Carl Davis details the long Indigenous histories through representative archaeological sites in Montana focusing on the the ancient presence left behind of the First Americans—habitations and villages, animal kill sites, stone quarries, rock art and battlefields– spanning 13,500 years, culminating with cultural landscapes and preservation issues that continue to be highly important to Indian peoples today.
