Why it Matters: The Purpose of Protest

What is the role of protest in our communities? Who gets to define what is protest and what is rebellion? Is protest an effective way to produce change? This panel explores the historical and contemporary role of protest in American democracy. Panelists include University of Montana Professor Kyle Volk, ACLU Indigenous Justice Organizer Angeline Cheek, and Billings Police Chief Rich St. John in a conversation moderated by journalist and Threshold producer Amy Martin.
