We are excited to announce Lewistown is the Hometown Humanities site for 2020. This means Humanities Montana will work closely with people in Lewistown to bring a full calendar of humanities-based programming to the community. We hope to enrich lives, strengthen cultural infrastructure, and build relationships with Lewistown for years to come.
We start Hometown Humanities by visiting with and listening to community members to find out what they are excited about and what they hope to bring to Lewistown. We want to celebrate Lewistown’s cultural assets, and provide additional support and programming options.
Humanities Montana staff will be in Lewistown January 13–14 (weather cooperating) for one-on-one meetings. If you’re in the area and would like to talk, contact us! We will schedule a time. Staff will plan with community members in the winter and spring, begin promotional activities this coming summer and launch programs in September 2020.
