A Section of the Original Library of Congress Card Catalog
A piece of history has landed in Missoula just in time for the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The Library of Congress has gifted each affiliate Center for the Book with a section of the original card catalog. The Montana Center for the Book, a program of Humanities Montana, has partnered with the Missoula Public Library to host this artifact for public enjoyment.
The card catalog doubles as an information kiosk where patrons can learn about different Library of Congress programs and initiatives and will be updated over time.
