Teens in Boulder Held Culminating Event on Teen Driver Safety
Democracy Project teens in Boulder talked with 300 Jefferson High School students about safe winter driving and what you should have in an emergency kit in your car. 96 mini emergency kits were distributed to students. The kits include emergency items like hand warmers, granola bars, and blankets. Three bigger prizes were raffled off, including a nice car blanket, a larger emergency kit, and a large car kit including jumper cables. Many teens drive a mountain pass called Boulder Hill to and from school all winter.
