Montana Filmmakers Interview Democracy Project Teens
At a time when research shows that Gen Z is interested in meaningful, in-person connection and belonging, let’s help them connect with one another and with local civic leadership to improve their communities. The Democracy Project can provide a non-partisan home base for civic engagement within our foundational institutions, public libraries. To hear directly from Montana youth about what The Democracy Project has meant to them watch this 5 minute film.
Applications are open for the 2026-27 Democracy Project program year. If you are interested in submitting as application for either the full program (September 2026 – May 2027 with a $2,500 stipend to bring a full project to completion) or the soft launch (January 2027 – May 2027 with a $500 stipend to build a teen audience) please apply via the link on the Democracy Project webpage.
