October 2024 Grant News
Grant-Writing Workshop in Lame Deer
In September, Woodenlegs Library and Chief Dull Knife College in Lame Deer hosted a public grant-writing workshop with Humanities Montana. Attendees learned about key components of grant applications and tips for writing successful grant proposals.
This year’s grant-writing workshops were supported with funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) United We Stand: Connecting Through Culture initiative. With this support, Humanities Montana staff traveled to rural and Tribal communities and learned about current and pressing humanities issues across the state. Thanks to over 100 community members, volunteers, and partners, we have been able to visit 14 communities, facilitate four free grant-writing workshops, and host seven community conversations and listening sessions.
