2024 Revenue Sources and Expenses

In 2024, Montanans in all 56 counties benefited from the public funding and support of The National Endowment for the Humanities’ Federal State Partnership.

Humanities Montana’s work is most effective when supported by a public-private partnership. Humanities Montana is federal funding done right—locally directed and locally delivered, with transparency and accountability to the people of Montana.

But this vital work is now in jeopardy. The near elimination of the National Endowment for the Humanities’ budget and our loss of federal funding in 2025 has created an urgent gap.

Despite these cuts, our mission still matters, and we are still here, thanks to the generosity of supporters like you!
