The Montana Center for the Book
In August, the Montana Center for the Book attended the National Book Festival hosted by the Library of Congress at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. As part of the Great Reads from Great Places, Roadmap to Reading program, Humanities Montana’s program manager, John Knight, represented the state with Elk Morning: At the Battle of Arrow Creek by A.J. Otjen and Sabrena Half, and Holding Fire: A Reckoning with the American West by Bryce Andrews. With 20,000 attendees at the festival, Knight and volunteers from the DC Junior League spoke to many interested festival-goers, promoting both Montana and literature from the state.
