A capacity crowd of over 50 people filled the room to listen and sing along with Philip Page as he presented Cowboy Music and Authentic Storytelling. Accompanied by a slideshow of Charlie Russell paintings and photos of old time cowboys, as well as several of himself and his wife Deb in their days working horses and cattle, Page told stories of Montana’s history from the perspective of a working cowboy.
Audience members stayed to visit after the presentation which ran long with audience requests. Page was happy to oblige singing original songs as well as cowboy classics.
As the Our Montana Voices program winds to a close, Humanities Montana thanks the speakers, the Montana 250 Commission, libraries, museums, and schools, and especially the community members, students, and lifelong learners who have attended more than 40 presentations across the state.
