Year Two Program Locations

In 2022 the Democracy Project expanded to 14 sites including large public libraries, school and community libraries, and Tribal college libraries. Many projects met immediate community needs such as food insecurity for teens a professional clothing bank for teens going on job interviews. Other projects included expansion of a recycling program, interviewing community elders, a clothing drive for veterans, a Holocaust reading group, a greenspace/outdoor classroom, a legacy garden, and submitting a bill to the state legislature to expand teen mental health services in schools. Toolkits were created to offer resources in civics education, the Montana State Constitution, and media literacy.
