MCAT Interviews Humanities Montana Interim Executive Director John Knight

Humanities Montana has served communities across the state for 54 years bringing programs and grants to all 56 counties. Established in 1972, Humanities Montana is a nonprofit affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, one of fifty-six independent councils across all states and jurisdictions of the United States. The councils were created in order to better infuse the humanities into public life.

Our book club serves as an outlet for individuals to foster camaraderie and have healthy conversations on diverse topics based on the books read. The book club is an opportunity to belong to a community that encourages social interaction, intellectual engagement, exposure to diverse perspectives and cultures, and critical thinking.”
– Austin Castle, Library Director, Glacier County Library, Cut Bank, MT

Humanities Montana serves Montana’s multicultural communities through stories and conversation. We offer experiences that nurture imagination and ideas by speaking to Montanans’ diverse history, literature, and philosophy.
