Research fellowship grants award up to $4,000. The application deadline is December 20 each year and decisions are announced within two months of that deadline. Humanities Montana awards research fellowships to a broad range of scholars, not all affiliated with a university. All proposals must include a public program component.
We encourage proposals that will engage Montanans in meaningful discussion about the human condition and enrich civic discourse among the state’s diverse cultures and across its geographical distances.
