How to Find Reliable Sources in A World of Disinformation

Program Description

The Earth is not flat! In a world flooded with information, some of it false or manipulative, it is easy for young people to become indifferent to information, or worse, to become cynical and believe nothing is true. This program gives students tools they can use to fact check their sources, which will allow them to replace cynicism with healthy skepticism, and indifference with the power to detect disinformation. It also emphasizes the importance of seeking reliable information in students’ personal and civic lives.

Rott works with teachers to tailor this program to their classroom needs. Depending on the class’s schedule, the program can last from 50 to 90 minutes.
